Our condo is in the heart of Ybor City, the historic district of Tampa, Florida. Ybor is a dynamic, urban area, full of excitement for your stay. This historic property is listed in the library of congress and displays a plaque on the front of the home identifying its significance. Ybor City has always been a multicultural area. There is a wonderful blend of those cultures in the food, combining Spanish, Cuban, Italian and German spices into completely unique flavor palate. The architecture of 7th Avenue is reminiscent of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street in New Orleans. You will be within a mile of many great eateries located on 7th Avenue. To name a few: The Columbia Restaurant, opened in 1905, and the first restaurant in Florida specializing in Spanish and Cuban foods. Be sure to book your reservation to include the Flamenco floor show. It’s a must see! Directly across the street from the Columbia is Santo Stefano, an authentic Sicilian eatery with great sunset views from the rooftop bar. Further down on 7th is the Acropolis, a great Greek restaurant that on the weekends has a belly dancer for your fun and entertainment. Looking for a great Sunday brunch? Try Gaspar’s Grotto. It sports a 50-foot smorgasbord style layout complete with complimentary champagne mimosas. A short drive from the home will get you to Ulele’s Restaurant, located in the Water Works Park area, an upscale eatery located on the Hillsborough River where you can grab a Pirate.. Also depending on the time of year, you will experience some fun and exciting nighttime parades on 7th as well. Ybor is referred to as Cigar City and there is still an operating cigar factory within walking distance from the house. You can still,as well, purchase hand-rolled cigars on 7th Avenue. You will find yourself a short drive to all the major sporting events that Tampa has to offer. The Tampa Bay Lightning, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Tampa Bay Rays, and the spring Training facility for the New York Yankees. The Tampa Bay area has some of the best beaches in the country such as Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach, etc. and some truly outstanding golf courses such as Copperhead and TPC Tampa Bay.
